Moving to Roseville

Eastern Minnesota's community of Roseville would like to welcome you and your family to your new home in our city. Our city is a city of "firsts" as the first Best Buy store and first Target store in the United States were built here. The first McDonald's restaurant and first Barnes and Noble bookstore in Minnesota were built here as well. With about 35,000 residents in our community, we are certain you will find that you made the right decision to move to Roseville.

The Ramsey County Library is located at 2680 Arthur Street in Roseville and it offers local residents everything they need to facilitate their learning, research and curiosity needs. There is online tutoring for students along with live homework help on the library's website and you can even download audio books directly from their webpage. The library also holds classes on how to find a better job with better interviewing strategies, resume workshops and tips for looking for jobs online. For more information about the library and all the services it provides, call (651) 628-6803.

As a Roseville resident, you can choose your own garbage hauler that is licensed to pickup trash in the city. If you want to participate in recycling, Eureka Recycling provides those services. They pick up your recyclable materials on the same day as your trash day. All you have to do is put your recyclables out to the curb by 7 a.m. on your trash day. Put the materials in boxes or paper bags so the haulers know what is recyclable and what is not. If you are disabled or if you are a senior citizen that cannot take the trash to the curb, Eureka Recycling will also pick up your recyclable materials at your front door. For more information about recyclables or for front door service, call Eureka Recycling at (612) 222-7678.

Moving to a new town with your pet can be a fun experience, but getting your pet licensed and registered may sometimes be a hassle. The town of Roseville wants to make the process as simple as possible. All you have to do is visit the front desk at Roseville City Hall with proof that your pet has been vaccinated and you can pick up a license. Two-year license fees are $35 and you can get a two-year microchip plan for an extra $25. A lifetime license is only $150. However, if you have three or more dogs, you will need a special license, called a Multiple Dog License, as well as written permission from at least 75 percent of your neighbors. For more information about pets and licenses, call the Roseville City Hall at (651) 792-7000.
